Begin with a small introduction to the book itself. Title, author, etc. In the same paragraph, include a 1 – 2 sentence summary of the book. Since you were required to read this book, write one sentence saying why or why not you enjoyed it, if allowed.
For the body paragraphs, break the book into sections. For example, section one could be chapters 1 – 4. Summarize these chapters in your first paragraph. Continue in this fashion…
For your conclusion, briefly rewrite your intro. Summarize your summaries. Use big words and Spell Check constantly. If you’re really stressing as to getting five pages, make the margins slightly smaller.
Check out sparknotes.com. I visit the site whenever I’m confused on a book, it’s very helpful. Don’t plagiarize, though.
Hope this helped, and good luck in your studies!
