What is a “pointer review” mean in term of book reviews?

Often, the books have revisions on the back that the book has received or revisions to the author has received for other books. I know that a starred review is the equivalent of thei high scores (as an A +) for a book but what it means when a book is a revision of indicator?

This is a first for me, and I’ve been reviewing romance for five years. The only thing I can think of is in terms of rating. Some review sites use stars, others use point systems, etc. It may be referring to a rating value. Just a guess though.
