What’s the best book summary site – is cliffsnotes.com the best? Are there any cons to using these sites?

My Answer asked:
Alright I’ll confess I’ve been using sites like cliffsnotes without reading the book there I admit it, but overall with my past experience it does pay off when I take the test so thats my opinion.

What is the best in your opinion? Gradesaver, Cliffsnotes, Spark Notes any others you can think of?
if you use them which one do you use the most?

there is.
the cons are:
1)you don’t learn anything
2)if your teacher, or whomever asks you any questions and give an example, your screwed
3)unless you just slacked off, read the book
i use sparknotes.com too
i find it really good for all different things not just a summary.
i usually just go there for extra help after reading a book, just to refresh my memory and its always a good summary
Summaries are great to clarify key points and make sure you understand. But reading the book is generally the best. Keep in mind, teachers know about these resources also. I had one that purposely read all the summaries and then tested us on stuff that was in none of them.
